![]() The Glasgow Recycles project was launched in Glasgow City Centre on the 22nd April by Councillor Ruth Simpson. New Recycling Points have been located throughout Glasgow City Centre to tackle the problem of away from home waste. Residents, commuters and shoppers can now recycle their plastic bottles, cans, newspapers and magazines at the new Recycling Points. The recyclates will be collected and sorted at Glasgow City Councils Materials Recycling Facility before being sent to be recycled in to new products.In addition to providing convenient recycling facilities in the city centre the Glasgow Recycles project will also provide training opportunities for local unemployed people, take a look at the employment and training page to find out more information about this aspect of the project.
