The aim of the Master Composter program is to encourage people to take responsibility for the waste that they produce, and to give them the support that they need in order to compost their food and garden waste at home. This is being achieved by training volunteers to go out into their local communities and promote home composting, by running workshops, giving talks or helping people on an individual basis.
This programme has been developed as a unique partnership project by the Community Recycling Network: Scotland (CRNS), the Scottish Government, Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) and Waste Aware Scotland.
