The annual Compost Awareness Week is an education initiative to showcase compost production and demonstrate compost use. The week aims to encourage the public and business communities alike to get involved with composting and learn all about how to compost organic waste.

Gardening Scotland is the national celebration of gardening and outdoor living. The event held at the Royal Highland Centre features the BBC Scotland Beechgrove Theatre and Dobbies Floral Hall. New for this year is a dedicated section for barbeques, garden furniture and outdoor games.
Waste Aware Scotland will have a show garden at the event highlighting what household items can be composted and how compost can benefit your garden. The home compost advisors will be on hand to offer help and advice on composting at home. Look out for the Waste Aware Scotland Home Composting team at the event!
Historically, Ayr Flower Show has been Scotland's answer to the Chelsea Flower Show, and this year sees the event in it's 48th year.Held in the beautiful setting of Rozelle Estate, Monument Road with its feature trees, ponds and woodland walks and the glorious Rozelle Mansion House and Galleries, the event draws thousands of visitors from all over Scotland and beyond.
