Bags

bags

In a recent survey 77% of people said that they wanted to reduce the number of carrier bags that they used (Fife Waste Prevention Survey, 2008).

Reducing the number of carrier bags you use is a good thing to do because it:
  • Saves the Earth's natural resources.
  • Saves energy and reduces the risk of climate change.
  • Reduces the need for landfill.
However, there are many things that you can do to help reduce the use of carrier bags. For example, the plastic carrier bags handed out by many stores can be reused and then recycled.
